1. City Palace of Jaipur
The architectural style of this Palace is Mughal, Rajput, and European. It was built in between 172-1732 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Some additions were made to the original palace in the 20th century by different rulers. This palace is divided into many parts like ‘Chandra Mahal,’ ‘Munarak Mahal,’ ‘Diwan-e-Khas’ and ‘Govind Dev Ji Temple.’ The architecture of this Palace is by Vastushastra. The Palace offers a wide picturesque view of Pink City and a perfect example of rich heritage.
2. Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur
The foundation stone was laid on 1929 and the construction completed in 1943. Maharaja Umaid Singh built this Palace to raise the employment after a long famine. In 1971, his successor Gaj Singh converted a part of this palace in Hotel, which was overtaken by Taj Hotels. Recently this hotel was awarded as the World’s best Hotel. The palace has 347 rooms and a few banquets. The stay is luxurious, comfortable and memorable. It was built with “dun-colored” sandstone. Makrana marble and Burmese teakwood are also used.

3. Lake Palace, Udaipur:
This East facing palace was built by Maharaja Jagat Singh. It is located on a natural island in Lake Pichola. It has been converted into a Hotel now. The Hotel has 83 rooms and various suites featuring white marble. The walls of this Palace are adorned with different semi-precious stones and ornaments. This Hotel was awarded as the most romantic hotel recently. In 1971, a part of the hotel was taken over by Taj Hotels and 75 rooms were added.
